Tribe Miami FAQs
What are the dates of the season?
The club season generally runs from November through May (up until the last tournament).
Team practices start once school season ends (normally around the beginning of November). We take a break for the holiday and resume in January which is when regular practices (2-3 times/week) & weekend tournaments begin.
For the upcoming season, all teams will have 7 tournaments mainly in the Tri-county area and 1-2 in Orlando. Elite teams will travel to 1-2 out-of-state tournaments. The season goes until mid-May for most teams, with the option to continue through June for AAUs.
Where will the team train?
Our primary location is at Ransom Everglades Middle School: 2045 S Bayshore Dr, Coconut Grove, FL 33133.
Practice schedule – how many times a week? what days of the week? and times?
Practices will be at least 2 times/week. Times will be any 1.5 hour to 2-hour block between 5:30pm-9:30pm during the week and sometimes Saturdays/Sundays. We usually allow the younger teams to practice in the earlier slot during the week.
“Tiny Tribe Miami” – Do you have anything for new players ages 8-11?
We post different clinics/Tiny Tribe options throughout the year! We will be offering FALL CLINICS through the month of OCTOBER, Tuesday and Thursday for players in 5th through 8th grade.
What is the cost of the season?
Each team has a different cost based on age/level/number of tournaments. Please note registration costs are separate from uniform and travel fees.
What is the difference between “Elite” and “Premier” teams?
Elite teams participate at a more competitive level at tournaments and will travel to at least 1 additional out-of-state tournament.
Premier teams compete only in Tri-county hosted tournaments (primarily in Miami-Dade and Broward) and at least 1 Orlando tournament (i.e., will not travel out of state).
My daughter can’t commit to a team for all of club season, can she just come to practice?
If you are not sure if your daughter wants to commit to being on a team for the entire season (November – May, all info above), we can keep you posted on camps and clinics we have throughout the season that are less of a commitment. We do offer practice player options for premier level teams if there are roster spots available.
My daughter accepted a position on a team, what do I do next?
